How to cancel Sky
Free step-by-step cancellation guide
- To cancel Sky TV you need to give at least 31 days' notice; Sky Broadband needs 14 days' notice.
- Switching broadband to another provider? You don't need to contact Sky: your new provider contacts them and handles the transfer, and your Sky contract ends on the transfer date.
- Give notice by getting in touch with Sky (by phone, message or email), or complete the online cancellation form if you are inside your cooling-off period.
- If you cancel inside your minimum term, early termination charges may apply. A 31-day rolling TV contract has no cancellation charges.
- Payments are taken a month in advance, so you may still be billed for the full month after your service ends. Any credit on your account comes back after 45 days.
- Return your equipment after cancelling: Sky Q boxes, and Sky Stream pucks bought after 23 February 2023.
