How to cancel National Trust

- National Trust memberships are classified by HMRC as a charitable donation, so they are non-refundable: you can cancel at any time, but no part of what you have paid comes back. This applies to card, cash and Direct Debit payments.
- To cancel, call the membership team on 0344 800 1895 or email [email protected]. If you email, include your full name, address and supporter number.
- On the monthly Direct Debit option you must keep paying until the end of your membership year as per your agreement, so cancelling mid-year does not reduce what you owe for the rest of the year.
- If your renewal date is close, the Trust recommends using the benefits until then and deciding at renewal, which is the clean point to leave.
