How to cancel Bitwarden
Free step-by-step cancellation guide
- In the web app (vault.bitwarden.com), navigate to Settings > Subscription.
- Take note of the "Next charge date" — this is when you will lose access to paid features once your subscription is cancelled.
- Select the "Cancel subscription" button.
- Confirm the cancellation. Your account moves to a "Pending cancellation" status until the Next charge date is reached.
- When the Next charge date is reached, you are moved to a free account (you can "Reinstate Subscription" before then if you change your mind).
- Note: Premium purchased through an app store (Apple/Google) is billed by the store — cancel via the store's subscription settings. Subscriptions less than 30 days old can be refunded by contacting Bitwarden support.
