How to cancel Microsoft 365
Free step-by-step cancellation guide
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account used to purchase the subscription.
- Select Cancel subscription (the button may read "Upgrade or Cancel").
- Review the "Please review" section at the top of the cancel page, including any alternative-subscription offers.
- At the bottom of the page, select "I don't want my subscription" to confirm cancellation (or "I want to keep my benefits" to keep it).
- If you purchased from Google Play or the Apple App Store, contact their customer support; if purchased from a third-party retailer (e.g. Amazon), contact that retailer directly.
- Cancellation stops recurring billing but your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, after which storage reverts to the free 5 GB allowance.
