How to cancel The Times
Free step-by-step cancellation guide
- Call The Times membership team on 0800 018 5177 if you are in the UK, or 1800 949 687 if you are in Ireland (free from a landline). Irish callers can also use 01 536 0818, charged at your network provider's standard rate. The Times does not publish an online cancellation route for UK and Ireland customers.
- Call between 8am and 7pm GMT on weekdays, or 8am and 4pm GMT at weekends and on bank holidays.
- If you subscribed from outside the UK and Ireland, email [email protected] with "Overseas Cancellation Request" as the subject line, quoting your customer priority number, registered email address and full postal address.
- If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel in the store instead: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions on Android. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Ask when your access ends while you have them on the phone, and keep the confirmation email. Most subscriptions run to the end of the period you have already paid for, so confirm the date rather than assuming it stops immediately.
